Please note: Using Lockdown Browser does not and cannot prevent cheating. We advise all instructors to utilize the JJC testing center in addition to Lockdown Browser as practice for "high-stakes" testing.
Please note: While viewing Canvas Logs, The "Stopped Viewing" note does not mean "left the exam" (and switch to another browser or desktop). In the Canvas action/access logs, the "Stopped viewing" indicates the student shifted "focus" to another popup window or second browser tab in the same secure browser.
To enable secure testing for a published quiz:
Step 2: In the Course Navigation, click or tap Quizzes.
Step 3: Click or tap a quiz link.
Step 4: Click the Edit button.
Step 5: On the Settings tab, in the Quiz Restrictions section, click or tap the Filter IP Addresses checkbox. Enter: 216.125.168.32
Step 6: Click or Tap Lockdown Browser in the course navigation
Step 7: In the Lockdown Browser dashboard find the exam and choose settings.
Final Step: Under the Quiz Settings, click or tap "Require Respondus Lockdown browser for this exam." Choose any applicable options, then choose save and close.
Note: If the "Required to view quiz results" checkbox is checked, students will only be able to view quiz results at the Testing Services lab.
Additional Note: When activated with lockdown browser, your quiz will be renamed in the module view with "- Requires Respondus LockDown Browser appended to the end."

Is the Testing Services lab a physical location or can students access it online?
Hi Jennifer,
Testing Services is a physical location in A building on main campus. Testing centers do exist, however, at the other JJC campuses/locations.
Yes, we have physical testing centers.
