Step by Step: Submitting a Turnitin Assignment

To submit a Turnitin assignment:

Step 1: Using the Google Chrome browser, access a course. (TurnItIn does NOT work with Safari, Microsoft Edge and some other browsers.)

Step 2: In the Course Navigation, click or tap Assignments. Assignments may also be accessed from Modules, Syllabus and sometimes from the Calendar.

Step 3: Click or tap the name of the assignment.

Step 4: Click or tap the Upload Submission button.

Note: If this is the first time making a submission to Turnitin a user agreement will need to be accepted before the Upload Submission button becomes available. Click or tap the I agree button.

Step 5: In the Submission Title field type a name for the submission.

Step 6: Click or tap the Select a file to upload button.

Step 7: Click or tap to select the file to upload.

Step 8: Click or tap the Open button.

Step 9: Click or tap the Continue button.

Final Step: Clip or tap the Accept Submission & Save button.

Note: Submission details will be displayed in the Uploaded field of the Assignment.
